MOLD-MAKING WORKSHOP

Date: November 18 - 22, 2019

Workshop’s fee: $1100 (includes materials, five days of instruction and lunch each day)

Location: Brian Booth Craig Studios in Pennsylvania U.S.

Only open to participants in the Figure Sculpture Class from November 11-16 who wish to make a mold of their piece. Participants will learn to make brush-on silicone rubber molds with a urethane plastic mother mold. This mold will be suitable for casting plaster, wax, resin and many other materials. All necessary materials are included in the fees. Tools will be provided for students to use during the course.

*Participants who did not register for the Figure Sculpture workshop Nov 11-16 must bring their own figure model that are not larger than 1/3 scale of a human.

*Participants who don’t have a figure model ready for this workshop or can not bring their figure model to the studio. The studio will have available figure models for the molding-making workshop.

*Participants are responsible for transporting their molds home.

•Plasti-Paste by Smooth-On

•Brushes, Solvents, Gloves, Metal Shims

•Daily lunch

Option: Students may also choose to have their molds made by Brian Booth Craig Studios. The mold-making service fee is $1800 (does not include shipping).
